Abhishek Mukhopadhyay
I am PhD student under joint supervision of Dr. Pradipta Biswas, Indian Institute of Science and Dr. Imon Mukherjee, IIIT Kalyani, India. I am working as Junior Research Fellow in I3D lab at Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. I work on Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Virtual Reality, and Human Computer Interaction. I did my bachelors and masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering at West Bengal University of Technology, India.
My research work is focused on object detection in challenging environment. The research with classical computer vision techniques. Later I took multiple case studies where my aim was to detect lane and on road objects in context of Indian road. I also proposed a new way of generating dataset which is essential and major part of deep learning based research. I worked with Robert Bosch, Wipro, Faurecia, British Telecom in my research life. I achieved one best paper award (47th WWRF meeting, Bristol, 2022), ACM global fellowship to present my work in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Before joining as a research student, I worked as assistant professor for 6 years in multiple Institutions in West Bengal, India. I also did internship in PulseLabs AI for a period of 3 months in 2022.
