Vicenç Gómez is a tenure track faculty in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning group<font color="#353430">at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He obtained the B. Sc. degree in Computer Science Engineering at the Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Digital Communication at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2008. He then joined the machine learning group at the Radboud University, Nijmegen (The Netherlands) with Prof. Dr. H. J. Kappen where he has performed research within several european projects for five years. He obtained a transnational academic career grant (FP7 Marie Curie Actions) in 2014 and a Ramón y Cajal fellowship in 2016. His research focuses on machine learning and optimal control and their applications to different areas such as robotics, complex networks and brain computer interfaces.</font>
