I earned my PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Denver in December of 2020. My dissertation research concerned efficient algorithms for optimization and heavily involved Python software development and mathematical analyses regarding the complexity and convergence of my algorithms. The methods presented in my dissertation can be used to explore many exciting applied math problems, such as modeling the motion of plasma particles, predicting storm surge, and analyzing the spread of disease.
