Dr. Gita Sukthankar is a Professor and Charles N. Millican Faculty Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at University of Central Florida. Dr. Sukthankar received her Ph.D. from the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon, an M.S. in Robotics, and an A.B. in psychology from Princeton University. She is a recipient of the Air Force Young Investigator award, DARPA Computer Science Study Panel funding, and an NSF CAREER award, as well as numerous UCF awards for research excellence. She is a current board member of the International Foundation for Autonomous Agents and Multi-agent Systems and past member of DARPA's Information Science and Technology advisory group. Dr. Sukthankar is the editor of the books, Plan, Activity, and Intent Recognition and Social Interactions in Virtual Worlds.
