David Blei

David M. Blei is a professor in Columbia University’s departments of Statistics and Computer Science. Prior to autumn 2014, he was Associate Professor at Princeton University in the Department of Computer Science. His work is mainly in machine education.

He was one of the original developers of the latent Dirichlet allocation and his research interests include topic models. His publications were quoted 50,850 times on 25 October 2017, giving him a h-index of 64.

He was appointed ACM Fellow “For contributions to probabilistic topic modeling theory and practice and Bayesian machine learning” in 2015.
