Christopher Earls
The Earls Group at Cornell University is concerned with developing novel mathematical and computational approaches that enable new understanding concerning the actual condition, and future performance of complex natural and engineered systems. Practical challenges involving the principled treatment of uncertainty, sparse sensing, and complex multi-physics response modalities are motivational to our work.
The intellectual themes that underpin our research are applied mathematics and scientific computing. Problems of interest to us occur within the domains of engineering and applied science.
