Dr. Aparna Varde is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at Montclair State University. She obtained her PhD in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Massachusetts. Her PhD research entailed Data Mining and Machine Learning. Much of her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, encompassing concepts such as Commonsense Knowledge, Smart Cities, App Development with HCI & IoT, Implicit Requirements in Software Engineering, Collaborative Robotics, Expert Systems, Information Retrieval, Predictive Analytics, Decision Support Systems, Domain-Specific Knowledge Discovery, Text Mining and Linguistics Issues, and Scientific Data Analysis. She has over 100 publications in journals / conferences by venues such as IEEE, ACM, Springer and AAAI.
