The LFW (Labeled Faces in the Wild) dataset contains face photographs designed for studying the challenges of unconstrained face recognition. This database was created and is being maintained by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst faculty and researchers. Appproximately 13k images of ~6k people were detected and centered by the Viola Jones face detector. About 1,700 of the people pictured have two or more unique photos in the dataset.
